Short Answer A: Name and describe three technological innovations or inventions of the ancient Egyptians

The Egyptians invented many things, but three of those things were the papyrus, the bronze tip swords and sail boats. Papyrus is a paper that is made of mashed up Nile reeds, and the Egyptians would use this to draw Hieroglyphs, which were religious word or part of words. They would also write Hieratic script, that was a shorthand script developed by priests. Papyrus was a technical breakthrough, because they could now keep records of significant things that happened. The second thing is the bronze tip swords, that was used in battle. This was a breakthrough because the Egyptians were one of the first people who started to use metal to their advantage, especially in battle. While other native people were still using wooden swords the Egyptians already had the bronze tip sword, that would later develop into a deadly weapon. Last of all were the sail boats, which was a huge technical breakthrough. The Egyptians were able to use the sail boats for communication and trading along the Nile river, a task that many people had to travel miles and miles to get what they needed.

Answer B: Describe 3 important features of the Egyptians pyramids

The Egyptian pyramids were built for the pharaohs, who were considered gods. The pyramids took years for the Egyptians to do and were built with marble, that seemed to glow during the day in the sun. Three important features of pyramids is that they were built like a maze, it was a burial place of the pharaoh and it held a religious value. The pyramid were built like mazes, because they would keep very precious things in the pyramids, therefore they didn't want people to rob those things very easily. The second feature is how the pyramid was built. The pyramids were built in triangular form, with a tip that pointed directly to the sky. They believe that once the pharaoh was in his tomb, that he would ascend into the afterlife. The last feature, is the burial of the pharaohs. The burial of the pharaoh was highly important, because they way he was buried was the way, they believed, he would like in the after life. They would take out specific organs and they would cover him in special resin. They would also put animals with his body and put him into a tomb that had all the gods and goddess that represented the after life. Again this was important because the Egyptians believed that the gods and goddess were control of everything, therefore they wanted everything to be perfect before the pharaoh was sent into the after life.
